Greenalls reserves confirmed their position as top dogs in the reserve division after securing the reserve league title last weekend with a 2-1 win over rivals Eagle Sports reserves.
Nobody can deny that GPSO reserves have been the number one side in the league all season and their record of 24 wins from 30 fixtures is proof that a league title was always on the cards. To confirm their success with two games left is testament to how well the team have performed throughout the season.
Despite the league being a very competitive one, Greenalls could not have finished more strongly with an unbeaten run of ten league games still in tact. Having won nine of those ten unbeaten games, all the evidence is there as to why GPSO have managed to add to their trophy cabinet.
Manager Lee Webster, in an interview with GPSO News on March 11th, predicted that no teams would go on to beat Greenalls for the remainder of the season and that, so far, has proven to be the case. The second string have two more obligatory fixtures to fulfil against Garswood and Styal, however, the celebrations have begun in earnest as a season of hard work has come to fruition with a superb league title win.
Congratulations to all involved with the Greenalls reserves team.
