League leaders Greenalls take on Styal as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Reserve Division.

In a match of huge significance, GPSO’s second string will be in search of a crucial three points that will see them take a huge step towards the league title. Despite the fact that Styal currently sit in fourth place, the Cheshire side have five games in hand over the Greens and a win in all five of those games plus three points tomorrow would see Styal overtake Greenalls at the top of the table.

Manager Lee Webster told GPSO News last week that he did not feel there was a team in the league that could take any points from Greenalls, however, Webster will know that complacency cannot become an issue and professionalism is the key to success.

In selection news, central defender Alex Hardman is unavailable as is centre midfielder Julian Parrington. Striker Jon Leatherbarrow is struggling with an achilles injury and will face a late fitness test to determine whether he will be up for selection. Positively, Andrew Moore, Ian Whitfield and Jack Whitfield all return to the squad to afford Lee Webster the opportunity to pick from a strong squad.

Confidence is high in the Greenalls second string camp, however, complete concentration will be essential if GPSO are to pick up all three points against a team that has only lost three all season – the same number as the Greens. With ten games left and after opening up a six point gap at the top, Greenalls look favourites to win the title, nevertheless, a title won’t win itself and no less than 100% will suffice between now and the end of the season.
